MONROVIA – The Liberia National Police has arrested a stalwart of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Jethro Saylah Kangar Harris, for allegedly spreading misinformation of ritualistic killing on Facebook. FrontPageAfrica gathered that Kangar had reportedly posted a picture of a young girl alongside a picture of an open corpse on an autopsy table. FrontPageAfrica cannot publish the photos allegedly published on Facebook by Kangar because of its graphic content. Karnga was arrested in Ganta, Nimba County while on a tour with the ANC’s standard bearer, Alexander B. Cummings. Yorgbor also said the ANC is baffled by the arrest since their stalwart didn’t directly accuse anyone in the post.

Liberia: Musa Bility Warns CPP of Revising Framework Document under the Guise that It was Tampered WithMonrovia – The chairman of the Liberty Party, Mr. Musa Hassan Bility, has warned that members of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) who were elected in the December 2020 Special Senatorial Elections risk losing their seats if Framework Document submitted to the National Elections Commission (NEC) is revised. “The risk of changing the Framework document is huge and let me warn people claiming the document was amended or changed. Mr. Urey failed to mention the names of those he believes altered the framework, neither did he mention which part of the framework has been tampered with. Urey’s allegation came amid similar allegation by Senator Karnga-Lawerence, political leader of the Liberty Party, against her party Chairman, Musa Bility. The CPP member said they believe that Mr. Urey is looking for loopholes to leave the CPP arrangement and break the collaboration.

But appearing on State radio on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, Police Inspector General Patrick Sudue disclosed that Mr. Beyan provided false information to the public. Further actions shall be determined by the Executive Members of the OC upon the conclusion of the LNP’s investigation”. The party maintains that this act in no way, shape or form has anything to do with the PLP whatsoever. Monrovia – Public officials are milking the country of its resources as money channeled through the national budget ends up in their pockets, the Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia (CENTAL) latest report reveals. An additional 1,000 of the second doses of AstraZeneca arrived in Lofa a fortnight ago, county’s health promotion focal person at the level of the County Health Team, William Sherman, told newsmen recently in Voinjama. “Health authorities in the county are designing a risk communication strategy to facilitate its localized roll-out of the J&J vaccines across the county. “We should have launched it last week Friday, but we had some constraints and we are also concluding the development of our risk communication strategy,” Sherman said. Though some residents expressed frustration over the slow pace of the vaccination process in the county, they are willing to take the jabs when the health team finally begins the process. The population in Lofa has begun to understand that the vaccines will help boost their immune system against COVID-19.
