They then embarked on a search in the house while looking for Wanjigi and what they termed as "more evidence". Police later told journalists that they recovered tear gas canisters from his alleged car that was found parked at the entrance to his Muthaiga home in Nairobi.

The video shows someone dressed in dark colors, a mask and what appears to be gloves come into frame. The owner, Luis Cortes, said it was a diet coke that was taken. Ricky Jones, 57, was arrested on Thursday after a video emerged in which he appeared to call for far-right protesters’ throats to be “cut” during a demonstration the previous day. He is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday afternoon. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is seeking to have two people arrested in a Black Toyota Prado allegedly containing hand grenades along Muthaiga road on Thursday evening detained for 14 days pending further probe. The vehicle in which they were using was allegedly intercepted along Muthaiga road while "trying to enter house number 44". Among them were suspected four explosive hand grenades black in colour, two pocket phones, seven pocket chargers, three mobile phones and a national identity card belonging to one Eliah Karangu Waithuku. We seek the 14 days to subject the suspect hand grenades to the Bomb disposal experts for analysis," the court heard. Another reason they are seeking 14 days is to send the communication gadgets to the communication authority of Kenya to ascertain whether they are licensed and permitted to be used within Kenya.
