Sir Idris Elba has been fined after he was caught breaking a 20mph speed limit while riding his electric moped along Chelsea Embankment in central London. The police presented three images to the court that showed Sir Idris riding a BMW moped at 28mph along Chelsea Embankment near to Cheyne Walk, on a stretch of road with a 20mph speed limit. The government has rolled out a nationwide skills certification programme targeting thousands of young Kenyans who acquired technical skills outside formal colleges and universities, in a move aimed at boosting employment and economic inclusion. According to Mwadime, the Ministry expects a total of 68,000 youth to receive certificates under the programme, which seeks to formally recognise practical skills gained through experience, apprenticeship, and informal training. The registration portal, accessible through the party’s official website, allows aspirants to formally enrol for the forum and marks the first structured step in UDA’s preparations for 2027. “All qualified and interested party members who wish to contest for various elective seats in the 2027 General Election are hereby invited to register as members of the UDA Aspirants’ Forum,” reads part of the notice issued by NEB chairman Anthony Mwaura.
