If Larson were to arrive at the track while the race was ongoing, Allgaier indicated that Larson would relieve him at some point.

After 18-plus months of meticulous planning, Kyle Larson will not get the full experience of running ‘The Double’. Barring some early-race issues in the Indianapolis 500, or a delay in the start time at Charlotte, Justin Allgaier – the designated standby driver — will take the green flag behind the wheel of the no. Allgaier has served as the fill-in driver for Hendrick Motorsports once before, piloting the No. With Allgaier likely to start Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Charlotte — and more importantly, Larson not — the Elk Grove, California native will need NASCAR to grant him a post-season waiver. As of the time of publishing, the sanctioning body has yet to confirm whether or not Larson will be granted a post-season waiver.

The Indy 500 went green at 4:46 p.m. The plan is for Larson to leave immediately after the Indy 500 and replace Allgaier whenever he arrives at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Gordon had a similar predicament as Larson in 2000, when the Indy 500 was rain-delayed and he missed the beginning of the Coke 600 before joining mid-race like Larson plans to do. The Court of Appeal has declined to reopen a case involving KCB's auction of a 443-acre coffee farm in Thika owned by President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin Kungu Muigai, ending a 32-year dispute. The bench presided over by Justice Asike Makhandia said it was baffling that Benjoh Amalgamated - a company owned by Mr Kungu - was asking the court to reopen the same consent that the apex court had refused to reopen. New informationBenjoh Amalgamated had sought a review of a judgment delivered by a different bench, arguing that it had obtained new information that was not within its knowledge at the time the court delivered its judgment on December 15, 2017. He said Mr Meenye has always been available since 1992, and the issue of execution of the consent was dealt with by the court in a judgment in March 1998. The court added that the firm appeared to suggest that Mr Meenye emerged from nowhere and actively represented it in court without its instructions.
