Tata steel is cutting 3,000 jobsTata Steel has been bashed after it announced its plans to shut blast furnaces at its plant in Port Talbot, South Wales, with the loss of more than 3,000 jobs. The company has received backlash from industry experts and unions who claimed that the UK is set to become the “only G20 nation that can't make its own steel”. In the proposed strategy, the two high-emission blast furnaces and coke ovens in Port Talbot will undergo a phased closure. This plan is intended to reverse more than a decade of losses and transition from the legacy blast furnaces to a more sustainable, green steel business. It’s an incredibly sad day for British manufacturing, but particularly for the people of Port Talbot in South Wales which for years and years was the flagship making plants of the world.

That means the unborn girl spent the entire night working out how to escape her mother’s womb. Akinyi dared me to a drinking contest in the third — tequila, no less, the worst alcohol in the history of the universe.
