KOTA KINABALU: Three women made a shocking discovery of a dead baby buried on vacant land in Inanam near here on Wednesday (June 19). It was learned that the witness had seen the couple, who were carrying a bag and a shovel, from a first-floor rented room where the three young women were staying, not far from the land. After seeing the couple leave, the trio wanted to check what the couple had buried on Tuesday (June 18) night but decided against it as it was raining. Instead, they went to the land at 8pm the following day and dug up the earth at the said spot. "Further investigations are being carried out under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealing a birth,” said ACP Kasim.

On Thursday (June 20), Tan Jun Hao, a 31-year-old Malaysian, was fined S$1,200 after he pleaded guilty to using criminal force on one of the women.
