A court has restrained Nation Media Group from publishing or republishing any story about Rongo Success Academy or its director Eliud Ondeyo pending the hearing and determination of a defamatory suit filed by the two. The school in Migori County last month made good its threat and sued the media house over a story it claimed was defamatory. The story was aired on television channel NTV which is owned by Nation Media Group. Through lawyer Danstan Omari, the school and its director Ondeyo claim that the April 7 broadcast destroyed their standing and reputation among right-thinking members of the society. The school had given the station seven days to apologise failing which it would institute civil proceedings against the media house.

KUALA LUMPUR: Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd has proposed to sell 25% or 3.86 million of its shares in PT Bintan Alumina Indonesiato Hong Kong Prime Aluminium Investment Limited (HK PAI) for US$329.80mil (RM1.55bil). HK PAI is wholly owned by Nanshan Aluminium International Holdings Ltd (NAIHL). The exercise is for a share swap of 25.59% interest in NAIHL, which is proposed to be subscribed by Press Metal International Resources (HK) Ltd (PMIRHK), a wholly owned subsidiary of Press Metal Aluminium.
