The Deluxe Group said demand for its services is increasing as themed and immersive entertainment venues are becoming more popular on cruise shipsNorthern Ireland fit-out company the Deluxe Group has secured a £30 million (€34.9 million) contract for a cruise ship interior in Germany. The company, which is based in Portadown, Co Armagh, and employs about 180 people, specialises in “experiential interiors” in themed entertainment sectors such as hospitality, cruise ship and theme parks. The cruise ship is scheduled to set sail in the Far East in 2025. “With our new subsidiary in Florida, the home of both the cruise and themed entertainment industries, we are well positioned to grow our share of the expanding experience economy,” Mr O’Farrell added. Steve Harper, executive director of international business and skills at Invest Northern Ireland, said Deluxe was a company “committed to growing in new markets”.

Alone among convention members, we have no single written constitution setting out our rights. It was unpopular with most Northern Ireland Unionists, but Parliament’s right to do it was predictably confirmed by the Supreme Court. Parliament could replace the convention with a new set of rights – British Rights. What about the interpreters of whatever rights we have, whether British or European, or both?

The building society plans to help over 100,000 people through a new partnership with charity Dementia UK. Specialists - known as 'Admiral nurses' - will provide health and financial advice both in person at branches and over the telephone. Sarah Healy falls over the line in agonising finish That's cruel for Healy, who finishes in seventh one spot outside of automatic qualification for the semi-final. The Dubliner has had a string of major championship disappointments in the past but came into these games in great form. Ethiopia star Diribe Welteji won the heat comfortably in 3.59.73 with Great Britain's Georgia Bell in second. Healy was seventh in 4.02.91, nabbed late on by Australia's Maia Ramsden. She doesn't appear to be at her very best this week though time will tell if she can defend her crown.

In Rotherham, anti-immigration rioters smashed the windows of the Holiday Inn Express before starting fires. A similar incident played out at a Holiday Inn hotel in Tamworth into Sunday evening, where reports suggested asylum seekers were also being housed. The former first minister of Scotland Humza Yousaf said the army should be called in to stop “thugs” causing disorder on the streets. Writing in the Daily Express, he called on the Government to “get a grip” by offering police “all available resources”.

Jonathan McCambridge, PAA man in his 50s has died in a road traffic collision in Co Fermanagh. The single vehicle crash occurred on Sunday morning on the Stragowna Road in Kinawley. PSNI Inspector Cherith Adair said: “Officers attended the scene along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, however the driver sadly passed away at the scene. “Our thoughts are with the family at this time and an investigation is now under way to establish the circumstances. “The Collision Investigation Unit is appealing to anyone who may have any information which may assist with our investigation, or who may have been travelling in the area at the time and captured any dash-cam or other footage, to get in touch on 101, quoting reference number 545 of 05/08/24.”
