On Saturday morning, police unloaded the consignment and discovered boxes hidden among the bags of onions, containing detonators, gelatin sticks, and wires. MATHURA: Six people were killed and one injured when a container truck rammed into a bus on the Yamuna Expressway in the early hours of Saturday, police said. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. in the Sureer police station area, they added. According to police, the bus, travelling from Noida to Rasulabad in Kanpur, had stopped midway to allow a passenger to use the washroom when the container truck struck it from the side, killing six and injuring one.

Five mazars located on the King George Medical University (KGMU) campus here are staring at demolition as their management committees have failed to furnish legal proof of ownership or land rights within the deadline that expired on Friday. The university administration had served notices to the committees 15 days ago, threatening demolition of the structures in the absence of a satisfactory response. The management committees of the mazars have, in their reply to the notices, said the structures predate the medical college by over six to seven centuries. A private travels bus, going from Hyderabad to Guntur, caught fire near Keesara village in NTR District in the early hours of Saturday . All the 39 passengers, bus driver and cleaner are safe, the Fire department officials said. Driver Chandra, who observed smoke from the rear engine, stopped the bus and alerted the passengers who rushed out of the bus. Within no time the sleeper bus went up in flames on National Highway 65, and passengers had a narrow escape, he said.
