MANGALURU: A 17-year-old boy was apprehended for placing a mobile phone in the women's restroom of a private medical college in Mangaluru. The incident occurred on Tuesday at Kasturba Medical college at Bavutagudda in the city. According to Mangaluru North police, the minor boy had gained entry inside the college in the disguise of a patient and allegedly placed the mobile phone. The matter came to light when security personnel of the college found the mobile phone ringing in the restroom when there was no one inside. As per due procedure, the minor boy has been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, said the police.

Inquiry revealed that the blocking committee of the ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) has confirmed the emergency blocking order of the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Jharkhand Congress on Thursday (May 2) for tweeting the doctored video of Union Home Minister and Bharatiya Janata Paty (BJP) leader Amit Shah on April 28. The account remains visible outside India.”Official information accessed indicate that this blocking order was requested by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) of the ministry of home affairs.
