NEW DELHI: Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, on Thursday asked AI developers to engage with each other and create open standards for the benefit of humanity. Mittal, while speaking at the India AI Impact Summit, said that if leading AI developer companies keep the technology more controlled, it could lead to a larger battle over access and openness. There seems to be a very clear message: engage with each other, make open standards, and ensure AI is available to all for the benefit of humanity. Is there any danger that some of the leading AI developer companies may keep it more controlled? The Bharti Airtel head also said that AI will be immensely used in healthcare, education, deep research and medical sciences to secure citizens.

Hindi NewsNationalBiryani Tax Scam | AI Probe 2 Lakh Hotels; ₹70K Cr Sales Hiddenदेशभर के रेस्टोरेंट्स ने ₹70,000 करोड़ की बिरयानी बिक्री छिपाई: कैश बिल डिलीट कर करोड़ों की टैक्स चोरी; AI से बिलिंग सॉफ्टवेयर की जांच में खुलासाहैदराबाद/बेंगलुरु 6 घंटे पहलेकॉपी लिंककई रेस्टोरेंट ग्राहकों से बिल लेने के बाद सिस्टम से उसे डिलीट या एडिट कर रहे थे। यह तस्वीर आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस की मदद से तैयार की गई है।हैदराबाद में बिरयानी रेस्टोरेंट चेन की जांच करते हुए इनकम टैक्स डिपार्टमेंट ने देशभर में फैले एक बड़े टैक्स चोरी घोटाले का खुलासा किया है। विभाग का दावा है कि 2019-20 से अब तक कम से कम ₹70,000 करोड़ की बिरयानी बिक्री छिपाई गई।हैदराबाद जांच यूनिट ने देशभर के करीब 1.77 लाख रेस्टोरेंट में इस्तेमाल हो रहे एक बिलिंग सॉफ्टवेयर के 60 टेराबाइट ट्रांजैक्शन डेटा का विश्लेषण किया। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक यह सॉफ्टवेयर बाजार के करीब 10% हिस्से को कंट्रोल करता है।जांच में पाया गया कि कई रेस्टोरेंट ग्राहकों से रुपए लेने के बाद सिस्टम से बिल डिलीट या एडिट कर रहे थे। देशभर में इस सॉफ्टवेयर का इस्तेमाल करने वाले रेस्टोरेंट ने 13,000 करोड़ रुपए से ज्यादा के बिल मिटा दिए।जांच में हाई-कैपेसिटी सिस्टम और AI टूल्स का इस्तेमाल हुआ। इनमें जेनरेटिव AI भी शामिल है। GST नंबर और ऑनलाइन पब्लिक रिकॉर्ड के जरिए रेस्टोरेंट की पहचान मिलाई गई। जांच की शुरुआत हैदराबाद, विशाखापट्टनम और आसपास के शहरों से हुई थी। बाद में मामला बड़ा होने पर इसे पूरे देश में बढ़ाया गया।रेस्टोरेंट में कैसे काम करता था टैक्स चोरी का खेलजांच अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, आमतौर पर रेस्टोरेंट अपने ग्राहकों से कार्ड, UPI और कैश से मिलने वाले सभी पेमेंट सॉफ्टवेयर में दर्ज करते हैं ताकि स्टाफ कोई गड़बड़ी न करे।लेकिन जांच में सामने आया कि मालिक खुद बिलिंग सॉफ्टवेयर का गलत इस्तेमाल कर रहे थे। इनमें सबसे आम तरीका था केवल कैश बिल डिलीट करना, क्योंकि IT विभाग के लिए कैश ट्रांजैक्शन को ट्रैक करना मुश्किल होता है।दूसरा तरीका था चुनिंदा तारीखों के सभी बिल एक साथ मिटा दे। जांच में सामने आया कि कुछ रेस्टोरेंट ने चुनिंदा कैश इनवॉइस डिलीट किए। यानी कैश एंट्री का एक हिस्सा रखा गया और बाकी हटा दिया गया।इसके बाद रेस्टोरेंट ने आयकर और GST देनदारी कम दिखाई गई। कभी-कभी 30 दिन तक का डेटा पूरी तरह मिटा दिया जाता था। इसके बाद रिटर्न में सिर्फ आंशिक बिक्री दिखाई जाती थी।रेस्टोरेंट ID का डेटा खंगाला, 13,317 करोड़ की पोस्ट-बिलिंग डिलीशनIT ने जांच में 1.77 लाख रेस्टोरेंट ID से जुड़े डेटा की पड़ताल की गई। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, ₹70,000 करोड़ की छिपाई गई बिक्री में से ₹13,317 करोड़ की एंट्री बिल बनने के बाद डिलीट की गई थी।सिर्फ आंध्र प्रदेश और तेलंगाना में ही ₹5,141 करोड़ की बिक्री दबाने का मामला सामने आया है। विभाग ने अभी तक छिपाई गई आय पर टैक्स और पेनल्टी की गिनती पूरी नहीं की है।आंध्र प्रदेश और तेलंगाना के 40 रेस्टोरेंट के सैंपल में फिजिकल और डिजिटल जांच की गई। इसमें करीब ₹400 करोड़ की बिक्री दबाने की पुष्टि हुई। सैंपल के आधार पर अधिकारियों ने अनुमान लगाया है कि कुल बिक्री का लगभग 27% हिस्सा दबाया गया।तमिलनाडु, कर्नाटक, तेलंगाना समेत 5 राज्यों में ज्यादा गड़बड़ीटैक्स चोरी के सबसे ज्यादा मामले तमिलनाडु, कर्नाटक, तेलंगाना, महाराष्ट्र और गुजरात में मिले। कर्नाटक में करीब ₹2,000 करोड़ की बिक्री का आंकड़ा डिलीट किया गया था।इसके बाद तेलंगाना (1,500 करोड़) और तमिलनाडु (1,200 करोड़) का नंबर रहा। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि कुछ रेस्टोरेंट ने रिकॉर्ड डिलीट भी नहीं किए और टैक्स रिटर्न में कम बिक्री दिखाई।2019-20 से 2025-26 तक छह वित्तीय वर्षों में कुल ₹2.43 लाख करोड़ की बिलिंग का डेटा जांच के दायरे में आया। अधिकारियों ने अहमदाबाद स्थित सॉफ्टवेयर कंपनी के सेंटर से डेटा एक्सेस किया।हैदराबाद से शुरू हुई जांच, अब देशभर में विस्तारडेटा की जांच हैदराबाद के आयकर भवन में डिजिटल फोरेंसिक और एनालिटिक्स लैब में किया गया। शुरुआत में हैदराबाद, विशाखापट्टनम और आंध्र प्रदेश-तेलंगाना के अन्य शहरों में सर्च की गई थी।वहीं से बिक्री दबाने के लिए सॉफ्टवेयर के इस्तेमाल का खुलासा हुआ। इसके बाद सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्ट टैक्सेस (CBDT) ने जांच को देशभर में विस्तार देने का फैसला किया।.
