A 65-year-old umpire died and several players were injured after a swarm of bees attacked them during a cricket match in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district, police said on Thursday. The incident occurred at Sapru Maidan in the Shuklaganj area on Wednesday evening during a match organised by the Kanpur Cricket Association. Police said another umpire and around 15 to 20 players also suffered bee stings in the incident. Confirming the death, S N Singh, president of the Kanpur Cricket Association, told PTI that umpire Manik Gupta died after being attacked by a swarm of bees during a cricket match in Unnao. “When Gupta was being rushed to the hospital, bees were still clinging to his face and body,” Singh said, underscoring the intensity of the attack.

डिजिटल डेस्क, जम्मू। कटड़ा में श्री माता वैष्णो देवी के साथ-साथ श्रद्धालु अब आसानी से हेलीकॉप्टर द्वारा यात्रा तय कर कम समय में दोनों तीर्थस्थल घूम सकेंगे। उपराज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा ने इस बाबत बताया कि प्रोजेक्ट अगले दिन महीने में शुरू हो जाएगा। 69 आरसीसी ग्रेफ द्वारा हेलीपैड से गुफा तक यात्रा मार्ग और पुल का निर्माण कार्य किया जा रहा है, जिसमें करीब छह करोड रुपए खर्च किए गए हैं।तीन महीने में होगी हेलीकॉप्टर सेवा शुरू उपराज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा ने कहा कि तीन महीने के भीतर कटड़ा से शिवखोड़ी तीर्थ स्थल के लिए एक हेलीकॉप्टर सेवा शुरू करने की कोशिश की जा रही है। यहां एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय म्यूजियम भी बनाया जाना है। कटड़ा में हेलीपैड बनने का काम आखिरी चरण में है और शिवखोड़ी में भी ऐसी ही एक सुविधा बनने वाली है। इसके शुरू होने पर तीर्थयात्री आसानी से दोनों मंदिरों में आ जा सकेंगे।शिवखोड़ी दर्शन करने के लिए पहुंचने वाले श्रद्धालुओं को हेलीकॉप्टर मात्र 20 मिनट में कटडा से शिवखोड़ी तक पहुंचा देता था। जबकि भक्तों को वाहनों के जरिए जम्मू या फिर कटडा से शिवखोड़ी तक पहुंचने में ढाई से 3 घंटे तक का समय लगता है।श्रद्धालुओं को इससे पहले कटडा से शिवखोड़ी हेलीकॉप्टर से आने- जाने का प्रति श्रद्धालु 8500 रुपये किराया देना पड़ता था। कटडा से शिवखोड़ी के लिए हेलीकॉप्टर सेवा 13 अक्टूबर 2010 को आरंभ हुई थी, संभव है कि किराया 8 से 10 हजार के बीच ही हो।श्री शकराचार्य मंदिर का होगा निर्माण छह दशक के लंबे इंतजार के बाद श्री माता वैष्णो देवी श्राइन क्षेत्र में श्री शंकराचार्य मंदिर के निर्माण का सपना सच होते दिख रहा है। इस प्रतिष्ठित मंदिर की अवधारणा मूल रूप से 1967 में बनाई गई थी, लेकिन किन्ही कारणों से इसे पूरा नहीं किया जा सका।
