Amerado who was in the studios of Kingdom FM to promote his new single titled “Me Ho Y3”, was 'forced' by the host of the show, Londona to answer questions about Sarkodie. According to Londona, there is a perception out there that Amerado has been copying Sarkodie's style and as such, he wanted him to set the records straight on the matter. Despite Amerado's efforts to skip the question, Londona insisted. Amerado who could not take it anymore was compelled to walk out of the studio.

The target of the crowdfunding campaign was surpassed following several days of the persistent social media campaign. A GoFundMe account was created in Michael's name alongside advertised phone numbers for electronic money contributions. Ama Serlormey explained that Micheal, a few days after a successful surgery began to complain about some chest pains and within hours, he succumbed to death. The memorial service for Micheal Kofi Asiamah is currently being held at the Makarios Cathedral in East Legon.

He called on political figures in the country to place their partisan affiliations aside and selflessly work together to fight the menace of illegal mining, popularly called galamsey. He noted in a Joy News interview that if all aspects of the customs regime were working effectively, the Custom Division of the GRA would have raked in more revenue than it targets. He further indicated that Customs could have had more revenue if they were able to have an effective post clearance audit within 2020.
