Making the disclosure following a handing over of an office space for the Central Digital Transmission Company Limited by KNET to the Communications Ministry, the sector minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said processes are far advanced to settle on a company that will manage the platform. “Being here at the handing over of the office space for the Central Digital Transmission Company Limited is just one more step in our journey to switch from analogue to digital transmission. “As you are aware the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation will not be managing the DTT platform for transmitting media content in the country. The minister on her part assured that government was not going to interfere in the management of the DTT platform as it will be left in the hands of the firm that will manage it.

At one point, a two-year-old child was dangled from atop the barrier. The suspect who lives at the 8500 block of Mora Lane in St. Louis, was also charged with armed criminal action in the shooting of Newman on Thursday, April 15, at St Peter’s. Newman was found dead in a car shortly before 11 PM in the 1200 block of Peggy Court, east of Riverview Boulevard in the Baden neighbourhood. They used a search warrant to trace Wilson’s cellphone and located him within a 1,700-metre radius of where Newman had been shot, St. Louis Officer Thomas Walsh said. Wilson “admitted being at the scene”, Walsh said.

This year's census, according to Prof Annim, would produce about 2.6 million indicators, cover an estimated population of 31.6 million, with the government spending three dollars each on the production of an indicator. He announced that the 2021 Population and Housing Census is estimated at 521.3 million cedis. The Government Statistician said 13 modules; demographics, Housing, Fertility, mobidity, education among others would be examined in the process. The Government Statistician later had an information session with all the Census Committees on their roles and responsibilities during, before and after June 27, 2021.

She said this will help prevent glut in production, improve the well-being of farmers due to guaranteed incomes, attract the youth into farming and help solve the high unemployment rate in the country. At meetings in Atebubu in the Atebubu-Amantin municipality and Prang in the Pru West district, farmers and aggregators discussed issues of truthfulness, trust and the adherence to standards in production in order to meet the requirements of exporters, manufacturers and consumers. Mr. Bernard Marfo, the regional extension officer of the department took the gatherings through the contract document which spells out the obligations of each party to the agreement namely: farmers, aggregators and the department of agriculture. Present at the meetings were Messrs. Mathew Opoku, Nambe Jababu and Thomas Langa the directors of agriculture for the Sene West, Pru East and Pru West districts respectively.
