According to dailyguidenetwork.com the exhumed bodies included some late chiefs and certain royals of Amanase, and their presence at the palace reportedly sparked uproar in recent times when other members of the royal family discovered them’. The Suhum police, led by the Crime Officer, ASP Yeboah Oscar, stormed the palace to retrieve the bodies and skeletons after arresting the Gyaasehene, who was later made to write a statement on the matter. The Gyaasehene, Obenfo Addo Agyekum in an interview said the bodies were exhumed after the cemetery was sold to an investor, adding that a community durbar was held prior to the exhumation. According to the insider, the chief has been having strange nightmares and hearing the sound of drums beating at night.

Owusu Sekyere, popularly known as ‘Kwaku Ninja’, and Jerry Wornu, also known as ‘Taller’, had been gruesomely murdered in the line of duty. Kwaku Ninja, for instance, was known to be a mixed martial artist who helped to train other cadets and officers in the police force. The land guards were said to have outnumbered the pair, resulting in the killing in Constable Wornu [Taller], whereas Kwaku Ninja managed to escape the scene. According to the police, the body of Kwaku Ninja and Taller were buried at different locations in the community, including an uncompleted building. Kwaku Ninja is said to have left behind a daughter, who currently resides in the United States of America.

The GES also stated that the logos of the winners would be unveiled at the official launching and outdooring of the Safe School Logo and the National Safest School Awards Programme. The safe schools programme is intended to rid schools in the country of all forms of violence including corporal punishment, sexual harassment and bullying.

Six armed robbers have attacked K.K Gold, a gold-buying agency in Tarkwa and robbed them of gold and money. Information gathered by GhanaWeb indicates the robbers entered the agency on Tuesday evening April 18, 2023, pulled guns and asked the workers to lie down, to which they complied. They made away with all the gold that was bought and an undisclosed amount of money since the workers had not closed to account for the sales made for the day. The Tarkwa Police Command have been informed and are on manhunt for the robbers to bring them to book.
