He explained that Nigerians were not only poorly treated but were also subjected to very agonising conditions, poor feeding and without medication.

But don’t throw the towel on the Common Framework. “I do hear the legitimate call of African countries, and not only African countries. Debt cancellation requires all creditors to agree,” the IMF chief said. Authorities established a National Task Force in response to the current crisis to ensure that refugee flow to Ethiopia is handled in a manner that safeguards national security as well as evacuating Ethiopians living in Sudan. More than 33,000 citizens have been repatriated following the Sudanese crisis, said State Minister of Foreign Affairs Birtukan Ayano. The task force – chaired by Ambassador Birtukan – held its consultative meeting on Wednesday. The chairwoman disclosed that the Task Force has finalized preparations to evacuate more Ethiopians in difficult conditions in the Sudan.
