The book embodies an idea, philosophy, and framework for nation-building through synergy and alignment of all resources. He said the idea of ‘Medemer Generation’ had paramount importance to Pakistan’s context so as to address the challenges and harness the potential to build a strong and vibrant country. Ethiopian Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula on the occasion elucidated the Medemer Philosophy of Dr Abiy Ahmed who was a Nobel Prize Winner, champion of green legacy, and an advocate for regional integration and pan-Africanism. President of the Africa-Pakistan Association Zafar Bakhtawari, in his speech, highlighted the outcome of Medemer idea or philosophy that had brought economic and social transformation he had seen during his visit to Ethiopia.

ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Ethiopia has cancelled a process seeking an international telecoms licence, a senior adviser at the finance ministry said on Friday, further delaying the potential entry of a third operator. The Ethiopian Communications Authority (ECA) launched the procedure, known as Request for Qualification, in June, after reviving the tender process in November last year. "The licence process has been terminated. "The market interest didn't match ours for now to launch the RFP (Request for Proposals)," she said. Ethiopia is also seeking to sell up to 45% stake in state-run operator Ethio Telecom to an international company, a process which was also revived in November 2022.

The reformed model aims to restore principled aid delivery and humanitarian access for those dependent on food assistance.

The African Development Bank has filed a formal complaint with the Ethiopian government after two of its staff members were arrested in Addis Ababa last month. In a statement issued on Thursday, the Abidjan-based institution said they were “unlawfully arrested, physically assaulted, and detained for many hours by elements of the security forces without any official explanation”. Describing it as a “very serious diplomatic incident”, the bank went on to say that it was, however, pleased that Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed acted immediately when he learned what had happened.
