CAIRO – 8 November 2023: The National Elections Authority (NEA) announced the electoral symbols of the 2024 presidential election candidates. In October, the National Election Authority announced the initial list of candidates who are set to run in the 2024 Presidential Elections two days after nominations closed. Candidates running in the upcoming elections include incumbent President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has been in post since 2014 and plans to run for a third term until 2030. Former MP Ahmed Tantawi, the former head of Al-Karama (Dignity) Party, has failed to secure the required endorsements from people. CAIRO – 9 November 2023: The Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies (ECSS) issued Thursday an analytic paper titled "The Future of the Gaza Strip" bringing about insight pertinent to the aftermath of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian enclave. The paper criticizes such perceptions for that they disregard the salience of a ceasefire, and the fact that the current Israeli military escalation in Gaza do not affect Hamas. Following Hamas’ takeover of the Gaza Strip, European Union and PA personnel withdrew. As for a sustainable solution on Gaza, the paper suggests that it has to be a Palestinian one that excludes regional and international interventions. The third is securing "institutional and financial support" to reconstruct the Strip that is still sustaining destruction by Israeli shelling.

Cairo – November 8, 2023: Egypt will launch its inaugural electronic auction for gold and silver next week, according the Assay and Weights Administration (AWA) on Tuesday. The event will place 66 gold bars and 41 silver bars for auction next Tuesday, explained Head of the AWA, Ahmed Soliman, enabled by the Egyptian Mercantile Exchange (EME) trading platform. The auction is within the government’s overall goal to diversify the ways gold is available to the public, Farag explained. Gold has been on the government’s mind lately, with a new resolution against unregistered gold trading and launching the country’s inaugural gold investment fund. In May, Egypt launched its first-ever gold investment fund, managed by a joint venture between Evolve Holding and Azimut Egypt.
