CAIRO – 13 November 2023: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi welcomed on Monday all African presidents, leaders, delegations and companies participating at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2023) in Cairo. He stressed in a short speech at the inauguration of the 3rd edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2023), the importance to strengthen intra-African trade between countries. He said:” We, in Egypt, work to ensure that our support comes is every positive way and we are keen on playing a role that benefits all people. Because in Africa we have all the capabilities, but as you all know, there are some obstacles, and we are only keen on building, working and reconstruction, nothing more than that.” Sisi said. CAIRO - 12 November 2023: According to a statement released by the Ministry of Finance, the ministry, Deutsche Bank, Bank ABC, and the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Daman) to secure $500 million in new development financing. This joint effort aims to diversify funding sources through innovative, diverse, and sustainable tools while addressing environmental and governance requirements. The Ministry of Finance commends the interest shown by international and regional banks and expresses gratitude for the involvement of Daman, Deutsche Bank, and Bank ABC, as their participation aids in diversifying sources of financing. The minister further revealed that Egypt's goals for 2023 include developing and establishing 53 hospitals with a budget of LE 27.909 billion. The Palestinian resistance has inflicted heavy losses on the Israeli occupation army, destroying more than 160 military vehicles, including tanks, in the past 48 hours, according to Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas. Abu Ubaida said in a recorded speech on Saturday that the resistance fighters are confronting the Israeli tanks with fierce resistance and forcing them to retreat or change their course of invasion. Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said that they targeted Israeli military gatherings near the Zaytoun neighbourhood in Gaza with mortar shells and rockets. Also on Saturday, the Israeli occupation army announced the death of five of its soldiers in clashes in Gaza, bringing the total number of its casualties to 43 since the start of the ground operation on October 27. The demonstrators, escorted by the British police, waved Palestinian flags and banners reading “Free Palestine” and “Stop the bombing of Gaza.”

CAIRO – 12 November 2023: Egyptian First Lady Intissar al-Sisi received Sunday a phone call from her Turkish counterpart Emine Erdogan as they discussed humanitarian aid to Gaza as well as cooperation on the empowerment of women, youth, and children. Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan highlighted the need to immediately stop the ongoing Israeli bombing and military operations in the Gaza Strip. Sisi and Erdogan reviewed tireless efforts being exerted at all levels to contain the crisis and its humanitarian repercussions. The two leaders also agreed on the need for continuing the key Egyptian role in delivering relief aid to the people of Gaza. CAIRO – 12 November 2023: Al Qahera News reported Sunday that 70 aid trucks and 20 ambulances were preparing to enter Gaza Strip, while 400 dual nationals had gathered to cross into Egypt through Rafah Border Crossing. The Palestine Red Crescent society (PRCS) announced Tuesday receiving 81 humanitarian aid trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent. That brought the total number of trucks that had entered Gaza Strip since October 21 to 650, averaging around 36 trucks daily, the PRCS said in a statement. The aid delivered included food, water, relief aid, medical equipment and medications, the PRCS said, adding that Israel had not yet allowed the entry of fuel to the Strip. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had announced that Egypt was ready to help 7,000 dual nationals, carrying 60 different nationalities, leave Gaza Strip through Egyptian airports by letting them in through Rafah Crossing.

The summit brings Arab and Muslim leaders to enhance consultations and coordination on the Israeli military escalation in Gaza and the Palestinians lands and unify the Arab stances toward it. Since the start of the Israeli war in Gaza, Egypt has delivered hundreds of humanitarian aid trucks to the totally besieged strip and has evacuated hundreds of foreign nationals and injured people from there. Egypt, alongside Arab countries, has been also calling for a humanitarian truce and a ceasefire in Gaza, affirming the need to return to negotiations in order to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of the two-state solution.
