Egypt’s Food Bank has contributed more than 2,000 tonnes of relief to the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the strip until 18 November, according to Mohsen Sarhan, the Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Food Bank. The Egyptian Food Bank sends about 150 trucks carrying food to the Gaza Strip. The bank is primarily concerned with providing food to Egyptians, but with the deterioration of the situation in Gaza, the bank decided, following presidential directives, to contribute to sending aid to the Strip. The contents of the trucks are handed over to the Palestinian Red Crescent after crossing the Rafah crossing into the Gaza Strip. The Egyptian Food Bank is preparing for a huge truck that will enter the strip soon in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Palestinian Red Crescent.

CAIRO – 23 November 2023: The Egyptian Red Crescent and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed Thursday an MoU on delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip as well as other areas enduring crises. Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine al-Qabbaj, who is also the deputy chief of the Egyptian Red Crescent, valued the role played by the center in supporting people hit by natural disasters and other types of crises so as its services reached 37 countries. The deal also includes the entry of hundreds of trucks carrying humanitarian, relief, medical, and fuel aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip, without exception, north and south. Al Qahera News reported that the truce in Gaza may go into effect on November 23.

Nine people including two journalists were killed on Tuesday in four Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon, as confrontations on the Lebanon-Israel borders intensified for over six weeks, Lebanese military and medical sources said. The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that four people were killed in Chaaitiyeh village in southwestern Lebanon after their four-wheel vehicle was attacked by an air-to-surface missile launched by an Israeli drone.
