CAIRO – 25 May 2021: Integrated Diagnostics Holding Company announced that it has obtained a financing package of $ 45 million from the International Finance Corporation (IFC). On May 20, The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) welcomed the new listing of Integrated Diagnostics Holding Company (IDH), listed in London Stock Exchange under the code IDHC. Mohamed Farid, Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange, expressed his enthusiasm for the listing of Integrated Diagnostics Holding Company, the second listing in EGX during the year, and the first dual listing with London Stock Exchange in the medical sector. He pointed out that the company has a market capitalization of more than $650 million, adding great appeal to the Egyptian market. The Long Live Egypt (Tahya Misr) Fund has announced of a second convey to the Rafah land crossing to deliver Egyptian aid to Gaza on Tuesday, as part of the Egyptian initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to support and rebuild the Gaza strip. The Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Talal Abu Ghazaleh Global Group have launched the first production lines for Arab-made tablets and laptops in Egypt. These production lines are established according to the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as part of the Arab Organization for Industrialization’s plan to partner with major international companies. The Arab Organization for Industrialization is one of the pillars of the military industry in Egypt, as it supervises nine military factories that produce civilian goods as well as military products. The authority was established in 1975 in cooperation between Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, to build and supervise a joint military defense manufacturing base. The authority fully owns 12 factories and shares in two joint ventures, in addition to the Arab Institute for Advanced Technologies.

The immigration minister said: We need to activate and support the initiative to speak Arabic inside the country in foreign universities and international schools, as it is a responsibility at home and abroad. Dr. Jaidah Anwar, a member of the Supreme Committee for Respiratory Viruses at the Ministry of Higher Education, warned of new, more severe symptoms of coronavirus on Monday. In a televised interview, she explained that during the first wave of coronavirus, patients often complained of high temperatures, coughing, and chest pain. Currently, Anwar said, patients who have tested positive are reporting body aches and dizziness. “We noticed new symptoms of infection with the coronavirus in the third wave. Some people may be infected with the virus and have different symptoms that affect various systems of the body, not just the respiratory system,” the doctor added.

The Rafah terminal was open from both sides to facilitate the entry of Palestinian, Arab and foreign stranded from the coastal enclave, said reliable sources. The crossing also received the injured and humanitarian cases from Gaza, the sources said, adding it allows the passage of humanitarian aid into the Strip as per the political leadership's directives. Egypt had exceptionally opened the crossing to enable people stranded on the two sides to cross and to deliver aid to Gazans. Egypt announced on May 17, allocating a total of 165 ambulances and 11 hospitals for the treatment of the Palestinians injured due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which claimed the lives of dozens of Palestinians. Egypt has taken political and diplomatic steps to encourage ceasefire, condemn the Israeli aggression and support the Palestinian’s legitimate rights.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received a phone call from US President Joe Biden on Monday which exchanged views regarding developments on regional issues of common interest as well as bilateral relations, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Rady said. Sisi touched on strategic Egyptian-US relations and said his nation will continue to work towards strengthening ties between both nations, amid a firm framework of mutual respect. Biden praised the strenuous Egyptian efforts towards the Libyan crisis, which strengthened the political process in Libya. Biden made clear Washington’s full understanding of the utmost importance of this issue to the Egyptian people, expressing his determination to exert efforts to ensure water security for Egypt. The two officials also discussed human rights, and Sisi emphasized commitment to engage in a transparent dialogue between with the US in this regard.

A high-level delegation led by Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani arrived in Cairo on Tuesday for a two-day visit. Thani will meet with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, to discuss Egyptian-Qatari relations along with regional development, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. Egypt and Qatar met in Kuwait in February for the first time since ending the years-long diplomatic freeze between the two countries in January. The countries agreed to reconcile during the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)’s summit meeting in al-Ula, Saudi Arabia in January. Following the reconciliation, Egypt’s Aviation Ministry reopened Egypt’s airspace to Qatari flights on January 12.
