Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad, Fayoum Governor Ahmed El-Ansary, Princess Alia Bint Al Hussein, and representative of Four Paws Amir Khalil announced the first twinning between Egypt and Jordan in Fayoum’s natural reserves. This cooperation protocol aims to preserve biological diversity by providing a safe shelter for animals rescued in Egypt and the Middle East region, the ministry added. The Ministry of Environment will be in charge of allocating the space required for the establishment of the project in accordance with the applicable and regulating laws. The cooperation protocol to establish a wildlife shelter in Egypt’s Wadi El Rayan will be implemented over 1,000 feddans, the governor said.
