Egypt’s New Administrative Capital (NAC) has hosted the first serious action towards regulating the real estate marketing sector as a step towards organizing and pushing property export by receiving experts from Innovation Experts Real Estate Institute in Dubai to give the first training course of its kind in Egypt to real estate marketers. The event was held under the auspices of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) company, and was organized by TSM Mall Management. The Innovation Experts Real Estate Institute is the educational arm of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), which is affiliated to the Dubai Land Department. CEO of the Innovation Experts Real Estate Institute Mohamed Moussa said that Egypt has a large base of distinguished real estate companies with expertise and a wide variety of real estate products. Chairperson of TSM Mall Management said that the event is not only the first of its kind in hosting the Innovation Experts Real Estate Institute and granting a training course in field of real estate marketing, but it is also the first of its kind in terms of transforming conferences and events into beneficial training tools for all workers in real estate sector and clients.

CAIRO – 30 June 2023: On the 10th anniversary of June 30th Revolution, head of the Egyptian National Council for Women (NCW) headed by Maya Morsy reviewed the achievements fulfilled by the Egyptian state in women’s empowerment since the revolution in 2014. “Today, Egyptian women are rising as leaders, advisor to the president, Governors, judges, prosecutors, policy- makers and change-makers, their voices resonating across all corridors of power with no discrimination. File- The first batch of Egyptian pilgrims arrived on Tuesday at the Cairo International Airport - Mahmoud Abdel-GhaniCAIRO – 29 June 2023: Egypt's flagship carrier (EgyptAir) will start its air bridge for the return of the pilgrims from Saudi Arabia after performing the rituals of Hajj [the pilgrimage], on July 1, 2023, according to a statement by the company. The company added that it is keen to overcome all obstacles, to facilitate all procedures for the pilgrims and to provide the best services. Pilgrims must be present eight hours before the departure time of the flight, the statement noted. The Hajj ritual ends with the celebration of Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifices), is the most significant feast for Muslims worldwide. The Adha honors the day when Prophet Ibrahim -peace be upon him- was ordered to sacrifice his son, Ismael, and because of his obedience, God substituted Ismael with a ram, and this day has become a feast for Muslims since that day.

CAIRO – 29 June 2023: Egypt's Ambassador to Brussels Badr Abdel Aty met with European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic to discuss the issue of migrant flow into Egypt and the commission's role in providing them with humanitarian and developmental support. According to the statement released Thursday, Ambassador Abdel Aty underscored that Egypt hosts nine million migrants. On his side, the European commissioner expressed appreciation to the efforts deployed by Egypt to host large numbers of Sudanese refugees, lauding the Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Red Crescent in particular. That is in addition to the results of the Seventh Brussels Conference on Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region. Ambassador Abdel Aty pointed out that Egypt had provided Syria with 1,500 tons of aid in the aftermath of the deadly earthquake that hit the country earlier this year.

CAIRO - 28 June 2023: Civil defense forces on Wednesday recovered a tenth body from the rubble of a building that collapsed in Alexandria on Monday. The search is still on for more victims under the collapsed 14-storey building. Four people, including a paramedic, were injured in the vicinity of the building that is located on Khalil Hamada Street in Montazah neighborhood. Ten ambulances were deployed to the area, which is now cordoned off to prevent passers-by from approaching the scene.

CAIRO - 28 June 2023: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi performed Wednesday the Eid al-Adha prayer with the commanders and soldiers of the Armed Forces, at the Air Force Mosque. This comes at the time the state celebrates the 10th anniversary of June 30, at the Air Force Mosque. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday exchanged greetings with the Arab and Islamic states' kings, presidents and emirs on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

CAIRO – 28 June 2023: The Ministry of Defense and Military Production posted on its official Youtube channel Wednesday a video report on achievements accomplished in the sectors of housing, transport, and tourism over the past decade since June 30 Revolution. The ministry pointed out that slum areas have almost been eliminated so as 1.2 million fully-furnished alternative-housing units were granted to families evacuated. In a related context, a number of programmes were targeted at thousands of citizens who live below poverty line. New cities were built to meet the staggering demand on residential units engendered by overpopulation. The most key ones of those are the New Administrative Capital, New Ismailiyah, New Aswan, New Mansoura, and others in Upper Egypt.

Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar permanently banned smoking in all Egyptian health facilities – those providing treatment, preventive or rehabilitative services – and any bodies affiliated to the Ministry of Health. The move aims to preserve the health and safety of citizens from the dangers of smoking. Abdel Ghaffar said that the decision to ban smoking also comes to implement the provisions of Law #154 of 2007, which was amended by some provisions of Law #52 of 1982. These laws govern the prevention of smoking harms, and includes a final ban on smoking of all kinds within various health and educational facilities, government agencies, clubs, social centers, youth centers and others. The director in charge of these facilities is committed to taking the necessary measures to prevent smoking within these facilities as per the decision.

CAIRO - 27 June 2023: The Egyptian Ministry of Environment is preparing to launch a national campaign under the slogan "No to Plastic", under the auspices of Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, and is scheduled to kick off during the last week of July 2023. "No to Plastic" is an expanded campaign that will be launched on social media platforms to raise awareness of the dangers of using plastic, and to promote alternatives to single-use plastic products. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers of single-use plastic products, in order to develop public awareness of the health and environmental risks of plastic waste. The campaign also aims to emphasize the importance of limiting the use of plastic, in addition to the gradual movement towards stopping the use of these materials, in addition to highlighting the alternatives available to them.

House of Representatives member Hanaa Anis Rizkallah filed an Oral Question with the house for Civil Aviation Minister, regarding the causes behind EgyptAir dropping out from the list of the top 10 Arab and African airliners based on the Skytrax classification. “What EgyptAir witnessed, in terms of challenges, are almost similar to Arab and African airlines, and we find that our national company came out of the list of the 100 best companies in the world according to the classification of Skytrax, which included 11 Arab companies,” she explained. Rizkallah said that the Skytrax classification is one of the most important classifications concerned with the air transport industry, as the quality of services is one of the most important criteria on which it is based. She added, “At the level of African airlines, we find that EgyptAir declined a lot and came at the bottom of the list, preceded by the Ethiopian company.”Rizkallah stressed that EgyptAir was one of the leading companies in the world, and when it was established in 1932 it became the seventh carrier airline in the world. The company is in dire need of regaining its leadership in the Arab, African and international rankings, she lamented.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi awarded Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Egypt’s highest honor – the Order of the Nile. The Order of the Nile is the highest Egyptian honor, and is awarded to people who have made a distinguished contribution that affects the lives of Egyptians. It is awarded to heads of state and distinguished Egyptians. The Order of the Nile was also awarded to Egyptians who won the Nobel Prize such as Mohamed ElBaradei, Ahmed Zewail, and Naguib Mahfouz. “The Order of the Nile is a pure gold collar consisting of three square gold unites on which there are Pharaonic symbols.

Egypt - Al Ahly Pharos Investment Banking aims to complete about six merger and acquisition deals this year, with a value amounting to EGP 30bn in the sectors of industry, health, education, and non-banking financial, especially consumer finance. He also added that Egypt has great opportunities in the export-related manufacturing sector, especially those under the industrial initiative with an interest rate of 11%. Haidar pointed out that the current interest rates in Egypt are high, with a likely increase in the coming period. June is drawing to a close and the government is still raising the goal of raising $2bn before the end of the month through its IPOs programme. El-Alfy added that the IPOs programme must be implemented quickly to provide dollar liquidity, so that speculation on the dollar on the black market stops. Abdel Hakim explained that there is no level to determine the success of the IPOs programme, as success is a relative thing that depends on who the buyer is, the percentage of shares he obtained, the price sold at it, and the time it takes to complete the sale process. He explained that the IPOs programme is a temporary solution for the short term and must be accompanied by radical solutions such as increasing production and export in order to save the pound and revive the economy.

CAIRO - 26 June 2023: Governor of Giza, Major General Ahmed Rashid, will inaugurate Monday, the nation-wide campaign "100 days of healthy lives," and its activities will continue until the beginning of next October. This comes within the framework of implementing the national plan for presidential initiatives to raise health awareness of the causes of infectious diseases, the risk factors for noncommunicable diseases and how to reduce the spread of some genetic diseases. The initiative, which includes integrated medical teams and mobile medical clinics, aims to conduct medical examinations on citizens free of charge, providing them with all health and treatment services, and ensuring the availability of services of the required quality for all target groups. The campaign provides services including: maternal and fetal health care for pregnant women, detection and treatment of hearing in newborns, and an initiative to examine those who are about to get married), in addition to examining premature babies for genetic diseases, as well as providing diagnostic and referral services for school children who are likely to suffer from malnutrition diseases.
