The daughters, whose names were not provided, said they had been estranged from their father for more than five years. Villi had a history of threatening condo board members and was embroiled in a lengthy court battle involving the board, legal documents show. Armed with a semi-automatic handgun, police allege Villi went door-to-door and gunned down board members Rita Camilleri, Russell Manock, and Naveed Dada. “We are grieving for the families, and they are in our hearts,” the statement from Villi’s three daughters read.

I am sure that if Davis were alive today he would be fighting alongside Ontarians against the current government’s anti-environment Bill 23 and Greenbelt land grab. One of the things that makes the Greenbelt so special is how popular it is, and understandably so. Even the Ontario’s own Affordable Housing Task Force released a report in February that concluded “a shortage of land is not the problem” for the housing crisis and recommended not touching the Greenbelt. Ontarians of all political stripes know the Greenbelt land grab and Bill 23 deregulations will not solve the affordable housing crisis.
