I had been tabling with Cornell Progressives, talking to families about the University’s crackdown on student protest. President Kotlikoff and the administration are not neutral, they are picking and choosing which students to protect and which to punish. In his op-ed, President Kotlikoff cites this as his primary example of “protected speech” at Cornell. Clearly, President Kotlikoff disagrees. In our conversation, President Kotlikoff twice called me “ridiculous,” and wrote that I demonstrate a “fundamental misunderstanding.” Does President Kotlikoff view 5,000 of Cornell’s undergraduates as “ridiculous”?

Courtesy of Havily Nwakuche I visited Tjaden Hall once again on Oct. 31 to sit down and talk art with senior BFA student Havily Nwakuche ’25. With her graduation looming in the near future, Nwakuche reflected on how both she and her art have grown since coming to Cornell. Growing up near a library that offered community art projects and always loving art in school, Nwakuche really started getting serious about her craft in her senior year of high school. Though she works with textiles and photography now, Nwakuche came into Cornell as a painter. Courtesy of Havily NwakucheThe most powerful aspect of art to Nwakuche is its impact.

I was born in the United States and have lived here almost my whole life. Until recently, German citizenship never crossed my mind. But my right to German citizenship was my father’s bequest. My grandfather pushed to leave sooner but — like many German Jews — Margot demurred. Once in the United States, he secured her a Cuban visa, but it was too late: She was already deported.

The 36-year-old said his incredible figures in the 2021 Test were tarnished by the fact New Zealand lost the match heavily. I can say that for sure," Patel told New Zealand media. "This time around, bowling the team to a special test win and a 3-0 sweep in India is pretty epic and pretty crazy." It's the same when I get back to New Zealand and to Auckland for the first time after a while. Teammate Mitchell Santner had a match haul of 13 wickets in the second test in Pune as New Zealand's spinners beat India at their own game.
