Home Minister and Standing Committee Member of BNP Salahuddin Ahmed has said all the 133 ordinances promulgated by the interim government will be placed before the parliament in its very first session scheduled to begin on March 12 next. “Some of the ordinances might be accepted intact, while some others might not need to be accepted,” he said, adding that Jatiya Sangsad will take the final decision in this regard. The home minister said the interim government had promulgated 133 ordinances and one order. Law, Justice and Parliamentary Ministry is now working to place those in the parliament, he said. President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Monday summoned the first session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad at 11am on March 12.

"Flights suspended yesterday have already been rescheduled. The State Minister expressed hope that by Monday all passengers of the suspended flights would be sent to their respective destinations. JAKARTA, March 1, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Iran's embassy in Jakarta said Sunday it welcomed Indonesia's offer to mediate between Washington and Tehran, following US and Israeli strikes against Iran. The Iranian embassy welcomes "the readiness of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to mediate in this conflict", the mission said in a statement. The embassy also "emphasized the importance of taking a firm stance by Indonesian officials in condemning the aggression and crimes of the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel". The confirmation came after the United States and Israel launched waves of air strikes Saturday against targets in Iran, prompting retaliation by the Islamic republic. Trump said Sunday that Washington would hit Iran with "force that has never been seen before" if it retaliated against US and Israeli strikes.

The rally was presided over by Nurul Islam Bulbul, ameer of Jamaat’s Dhaka South unit. He claimed that Israel, backed by foreign powers, had been carrying out repeated attacks on Iran. "We will undertake our duty of confronting the aggression," Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem said in a statement, adding that his movement would not leave "the field of honour and resistance".
