A DRIVER crashed into a ditch at an accident blackspot days after a woman expressed her concerns that someone would be hurt on the road. Clare Watts dubbed the A4130 road between Didcot and Wallingford the road a ‘ticking time bomb’ and expressed her concerns to the Oxford Mail this week about the ‘speeds, overgrown shrubbery and lack of signage’. Mrs Watts, who frequently rides her horse along the road, said Oxfordshire County Council, the highways authority, need to address the issues before ‘someone is hurt or injured’. The driver, who was safe and uninjured after the crash, agreed that the speed limit of the road was too fast and they were under pressure to keep up with other drivers.
