Raglan Covid-19 case wasn't using Covid tracer app

Data from the Government’s tracer app can speed up contact tracing, but it’s understood the Raglan case wasn’t using it. The person who tested positive for Covid-19 in Raglan is understood not to have been scanning in with the Covid Tracer app. Stuff understands the person had not been using the Ministry of Health’s tracer app, which uses QR codes to track a person’s movement. Immunologist Dr Dianne Sika-Paotonu said use of the tracer app would have sped up contact tracing efforts. “Although vaccination rates have improved, focus and momentum must continue.”Household contacts of the Raglan case had tested positive, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Monday morning.
