Remembering Dylan Mika: The gentle giant who would not be constrained by illnessPHIL WALTER/GETTY IMAGES Sir Michael Jones and Tana Umaga arrive for the memorial service for former All Black Dylan Mika at Eden Park. Like Jonah Lomu before him, former All Black and Manu Samoa loose forward Dylan Mika was remembered as a rugby giant who overcame a debilitating disease to scale the heights of his sport. Mika died, aged 45, in Auckland a week ago after suffering a heart attack. Also like the great Lomu, his All Blacks team-mate of 1999 who died aged just 40 in 2015, Mika was taken all too early in a life that had been complicated by health problems. Umaga remembered Mika as a "quiet man who let his game do the talking" and said "you wouldn't find a more kind-hearted person".
