A man claims to have spent thousands of dollars eating at his new favorite location – hospital cafeterias. Shafiq started eating at hospital cafeterias when he was visiting his father in 2022 at a hospital after he worked late shifts. Hospital food, Shafiq said, is both better tasting and better value than food from fast food or fast casual restaurants. “If you asked me, ‘Would you rather go to Nando’s or the hospital to eat?’ I’d go to the hospital,” Shafiq said. “The Great Ormond Street Hospital fish and chips – it’s well worth a visit to the hospital for that food, really.

Alec Baldwin returned to Saturday Night Live as Fox News anchor Bret Baier during the show’s cold open, which spoofed the testy interview with Kamala Harris (Maya Rudolph). “When I interviewed President Trump, my first question was, what do you think is the most important issue facing our nation? So my first question for you is, give me the exact number of murderers you let loose in this country?” Baier asks the vice president. However, as Harris attempts to answer, the Special Report with Bret Baier host continues to interrupt her, similar to his real interview with the vice president earlier this week. “And I’m also gonna see a lot of grown men dressed up like Beetlejuice too, usually guys in their 40s, which is less adorable.”

via Associated PressWe’ve written before at HuffPost UK about the unexpected veg Gordon Ramsay puts in his four-ingredient chocolate mousse. But let’s be honest here ― the Michelin-starred chef is better known for his steaks than his desserts. But many of us forget that, “The secret is to keep them nice and moist,” as Gordon says in a YouTube video. Calling the resulting steak “f*cking delicious,” he added, “that has to be the best way to eat a fillet steak.”What’s a gremolata? Gordon adds briny capers to his gremolata too, saying “it’s so packed with flavour.”

The strikes will target al-Qard al-Hassan "all over Lebanon,” a senior Israeli intelligence official said. In southern Lebanon, the Lebanese army said three soldiers were killed in an Israeli strike on their vehicle. The Israeli military said it struck a Hamas target. The nonstop Israeli military operations over the past two weeks in northern Gaza "have horrifying consequences,” said Anna Halford, an MSF emergency coordinator. Internet connectivity went down in northern Gaza late Saturday, making it difficult to gather information about strikes and complicating rescue efforts.

Rare U.S. Constitution Copy Fetches Over $11 Million At Auction Historic document discovered in filing cabinet of North Carolina plantation sells to anonymous bidder after intense bidding warA rare copy of the United States Constitution has captured significant attention after selling for over $11 million during an auction held on October 17, 2024, at Brunk Auctions in Asheville, North Carolina. The auction began with bids starting at $1.1 million and quickly escalated. This document holds immense historical value as it was part of the first batch of copies printed following the 1787 Constitutional Convention held in Philadelphia. The signed document sold was among the few surviving copies, as only eight or nine are known to exist today. This sentiment resonates particularly deeply considering the previous record set by hedge fund manager Ken Griffin, who purchased another early copy of the Constitution for $43.2 million back in 2021.

If Donald Trump wins the Nov. 5 election, the New York Times will be partly responsible. “In people's minds, there's very little neutral middle ground,” he said. There is no middle ground between the two parties these days. And there’s certainly no middle ground between truth and lies. “I see no lack of passionate, morally confident actors sounding the alarm,” Sulzberger said in a speech this past spring.

If Trump carries out what he has described on the campaign trail, his potential second term would be radically different. But these would represent incremental changes, whereas a re-elected Trump could fundamentally remake the world trading system. Economists think the broader tariffs Trump has proposed would similarly raise prices and, on net, hurt growth. Indeed, one goal of the tariffs Trump imposed on China, and Biden maintained, was to diversify away from China as a supplier. Everyone raised their tariffs.”In Trump’s first term, China, the European Union, Canada and Mexico all did retaliate; Japan and South Korea didn’t.

In Digits, players are presented with a target number that they need to match. So play Digits while you can, as The New York Times may move on from the project if it doesn't get the response it is hoping for.
