Activists gather Thursday in the Elmwood Village neighborhood of Buffalo, New York, following the death of Nurul Amin Shah Alam, a nearly blind refugee from Myanmar. Nurul Amin Shah Alam, 56, who spoke little English and was nearly blind, was released from the Erie County Holding Center on February 19. Shah Alam was arrested in February 2025 when a homeowner called police because they saw him in their backyard. The day Shah Alam was dropped off at the coffee shop, the area saw light freezing rain with temperatures in the low 30s. The Buffalo Police Department said its homicide detectives are looking into the timeline and circumstances leading to Shah Alam’s death.

In his vague public remarks leading up to the strikes, Trump issued threats not backed by US intelligence — including that Iran would soon have a missile that can hit the US. In ordering the strikes, Trump overcame certain misgivings at launching an operation his military advisers warned could have an uncertain outcome and could prompt outsized retaliation by Tehran. “Just because one president screwed up a military conflict doesn’t mean we can never engage in military conflict again.

Back at the helm, Klein was the fan favorite to return after Chris Klieman's retirement. The Wildcats want to redeem themselves from last year's rollercoaster season. Klein is already establishing that fire that made him such a beloved star years ago.

AdvertisementSome of the first strikes on Iran appeared to hit near the offices of 86-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Trump said he wanted a deal to constrain Iran’s nuclear program at a moment when the country is struggling at home with growing dissent following nationwide protests. Shrapnel from an Iranian missile attack on the UAE capital killed one person, state media said. Its leaders did not want to discuss other issues, such as its long-range missile program or support for armed groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. Iran currently has a self-imposed limit on its ballistic missile program, limiting their range to 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles).

LOADING ERROR LOADINGDietary advice provided by registered dietitian Jo Travers, also known as The London Nutritionist. Though a dietitian previously told us that wholegrain pasta is a little healthier than the “plain” kind, she doesn’t think it’s an all-or-nothing issue. Advertisement“The healthiest ones are high fibre sourdough breads, made with a sourdough starter and slowly fermented. Travers said, “Fibre is really important, but wholegrain is best because the grain is left fairly intact, which isn’t the case with the 50/50 type breads or brown breads. In this case, you would want white rather than brown or wholegrain).”AdvertisementBut, she added, the case is “quite nuanced” as, “It’s a difficult toss-up between white sourdough and wholemeal seeded because the latter is higher in fibre, but the former might have less of an effect on blood sugar and may be beneficial to gut health, so [seeded wholemeal bread, wholemeal bread, and white sourdough] are potentially equal.”The healthiest breads, ranked by a dietitianTavers ranked the healthiest breads in this order, from most to least healthy:

Data from the Youth Justice Board shows the number of children committing sexual offences is on the rise. This can include sexual images that a young person creates of themselves. Internet Matters research found that almost half (49%) of teenagers aged 13-16 have heard about abuse of another young person’s sexual image. This includes an image being shared without consent and/or threats to do so; and creation of sexual images without consent, including ‘deepfake’ nude images. “Most young people don’t know or understand that sharing explicit content of their peers is considered a sexual offence,” suggests Wilson.
