He vowed to reinstall National Service for 18-year-olds, which would involve either a year of military placement or volunteering every month. "National Service schemes in countries around the world show just how fulfilling it is for young people. We want to make sure Britain’s future generations can get the most out of National Service, that’s why we’re looking into ways it can open doors they wouldn’t otherwise," stated Sunak. The royal family has a long-standing history of serving in the military, and both Prince William and Prince Harry have performed military service.

Then Celtic would have been relying on Rangers to drop points.”But Ferguson, who won five major honours including two league titles during his time at Rangers, argued: “I’m speaking as a Rangers fan here. But what happened later was that the players got themselves into a position where they had an opportunity to win it and mentally they weren’t strong enough. “He worked wonders with that group of players at times because if Michael Beale had stayed they would have finished fourth or fifth. What he achieved with that group - in terms of injuries and mentality - was unbelievable."

“A ban on ‘no-fault’ evictions was a critical step in strengthening renters’ rights. The constant delays, obstruction and now complete abandonment of the Renters Reform Bill shows us that reforming the rental market has not been taken seriously. “With the cost-of-living crisis and high interest rates, many renters are struggling to pay rent. The next government must treat renters’ rights as a priority.”Osbornes Law believes that more needs to be done to ensure that rental reforms works for all parties; landlords and tenants. Shilpa Mathuradas, head of housing litigation at Osbornes Law, commented: “The much talked about Renters Reform Bill will have to await its fate until after the general election.

Last month it was announced by World Athletics that the winners of nearly 50 track and field events will win $50,000 (£39,000) off the back of winning Olympic gold at Paris 2024. There is already a huge gap between Olympic and professional sports.
