Google has released an emergency security update for its Chrome browser to address a critical zero-day vulnerability that is already being exploited by hackers. A zero-day flaw is so named because it is a previously unknown security vulnerability that is actively exploited by hackers before the vendor becomes aware of it or has time to create a fix. The flaw is described as a “Use-After-Free” vulnerability within the Google Chrome rendering engine. While Chrome users receive the update directly from Google, those using other Chromium-based browsers may still be at risk.

His motorcycle, used in the escape, was also recovered after being dumped in a nearby body of water. Police had earlier offered a 100,000-baht reward for information leading to the arrest. Pol Maj Gen Noppakao Somanas, deputy commissioner of Provincial Police Region 4, said a crime re-enactment will be conducted before noon on Sunday.

The US has imposed a 19% reciprocal tariff on Thai goods since August 2025, with ongoing negotiations aimed at reducing the rate. In response to the court’s decision, Mr Trump has announced a 10% global tariff on imported foreign goods, in addition to the normal (non-IEEPA) tariffs already applied. The new baseline duty will be imposed under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which allows the president to impose tariffs unilaterally. Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce said on Saturday that it is closely monitoring developments in US trade policy following the court ruling. Although Supreme Court ruling has eased concerns over reciprocal tariffs, the new levy has sparked anxiety among entrepreneurs who fear mounting costs and shrinking competitiveness in the American market.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the poll body addressed media reports citing comments that referendum ballots were not secure. “The Election Commission affirms that our duty is to ensure that the referendum and the election are conducted honestly, fairly, and in full compliance with the law at every stage,” the statement read. The Election Commission has been facing pressure from numerous quarters to address questions about irregularities and concerns about vote secrecy.

Authorities found that Wat Pa Chana Jai had been using reform land to host concerts, as well as to build monastic residences and meditation huts that it sold to followers. Consequently, Alro has launched a major operation to reclaim state assets and restore reform land to its intended beneficiaries — farmers. Alro insisted reform land is strictly for farmers and warned that anyone exploiting it for personal or commercial gain will face legal consequences without exception.

Thai flag at Board of Peace meet causes stirThe Thai national flag appeared behind delegates at the Board of Peace meeting in Washington, DC, because Thailand sent an observer to the gathering, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday. The clarification followed online questions after the Thai flag was displayed at the Board of Peace meeting hosted by US President Donald Trump on Thursday. According to the ministry, Thailand assigned Suriya Chindawongse, Thailand's Ambassador to Washington, to attend the meeting as an observer. But chronic pain persists with mild to no stimulation -- and women constitute 60 to 70 percent of the patients experiencing it, Laumet said.

But a senior financial official in Hong Kong described the US situation as a “fiasco”. Before the Supreme Court ruling, Trump’s tariff push had strained Washington’s diplomatic relations across Asia, particularly for export-reliant economies integrated into US-bound supply chains. The trade policy monitor Global Trade Alert estimated that by itself, the ruling cuts the trade-weighted average US tariff almost in half, from 15.4% to 8.3%. Analysts say the Supreme Court’s ruling against Trump’s more aggressive tariff measures may offer little relief for the global economy. ​They warned of looming confusion as trading nations brace for moves by Trump to find other means of using levies to circumvent the ruling.
