The interim government has condemned the brutal assault on Nurul Haque Nur, chief of Gono Odhikhar Parishad and a key leader of the July Uprising. The caretaker administration vowed that no one involved in the attack will be spared and that justice will be swiftly administered. “To monitor the treatment of Nur and other injured members of his group, a specialised medical board has been formed,” it added. The government said Nur’s contributions remain a symbol of the nation’s collective aspirations for an independent, fair, and democratic Bangladesh. “His courage and sacrifices will forever be part of our nation’s history,” the statement read.
