A Korean Air flight from Da Nang City in central Vietnam to Seoul, South Korea was canceled after the plane was found with a dented nose and suspected bird strike markings. The flight was scheduled to depart Da Nang at 10:50 pm on Sunday and arrive in Seoul the following morning. The staff suspected the damage was sustained after the plane touched down in Da Nang the night before. According to the Central Vietnam Airport Authority, the aircraft remained at Da Nang International Airport on Monday morning for further inspection and repairs, with an official report pending. On May 19, another Vietnam Airlines flight from Vinh City in north-central Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh City landed with a cracked cockpit window and traces of blood suspected to be from a bird strike.
