The first teaser of Danial K Afzal’s upcoming web series, based on the life of Fatima Jinnah, is out. The series titled Fatima Jinnah: Sister | Revolutionist | Statesman, will star Sundus Farhan, Sajal Aly, and Samiya Mumtaz as the Mother of the Nation in each era respectively. The released prologue of the web series shows glimpses of the three eras the show is set to cover. It takes off in 1929, Bombay, with a woman picking up a postcard, the sender and recipient of which are unclear. Afzal had shared with The Express Tribune earlier that his upcoming web series will be depicting Madar-e-Millat in her 30s, during the pre-partition era, in her 50s, during the Independence and in her 70s, during the post-partition era.

NAWABSHAH – Department of Livestock and Animal Husbandry, Shaheed Benazirabad treated dozens of cattle and administered free vaccines to hundreds of them at free camps set up at Hamzo Jatoi village of Sakrand tehsil, and Kernel Stop of Daur tehsil. The camps were set up on the directives of Provincial Minister Livestock and Fisheries Engineer Abdul Bari Patafi, Secretary Livestock Tameezuddin Khero, DG Livestock Dr Nazir Husssain Khero, and Director Livestock Animal Husbandry Sindh Dr Hizbullah Bhutto. Deputy Director Livestock and Animal Husbandry, SBA Dr Aijaz Hussan Laghari led the vets teams which treated and vaccinated animals at the medical camps. He urged the general public to take maximum benefits of these free camps. Chairman Union Council Soomar Khan Jamali, Qurban Arain, and other cattle owners thanked the Department of Livestock for arranging free medical camps to treat their cattle at their doorstep.

The government on Saturday changed the rate of profit given on the National Saving Schemes. The government has raised the profit rate on the Regular Income Savings Certificates to 12.60 percent, adding 24 points to the profit rate. Deputy Commissioner Shahid Farid told the rally participants that on this day, India made an unholy attempt to change the status of Kashmir. Three years later, the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) are still under this oppressive isolation. In 2020, Pakistan decided it will observe “Youm-e-Istehsal” on this day to show solidarity. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in the tragic reality of having to observe yet another Youm-e-Istehsal this year too, as the fascist abrogation of all international laws committed by India continues to its third year. This year, on Youm-e-Istehsal, it is important to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and also acknowledge and admire the relentless courage and commitment the IIOJK residents living in the occupation have shown. However, despite such malicious tactics, IIOJK is far from being a cohesive integral part of the Indian union, and the resistance is stronger than ever.
