This awareness campaign is about ensuring that no taxpayer is left behind, the Commissioner General stated. Following activities in Montserrado, the awareness campaign will expand nationwide through community engagements, media outreach, and targeted training sessions for businesses. The Mano River Union (MRU) was established in 1973 by Liberia and Sierra Leone, later expanding to include Guinea in 1980 and Côte d’Ivoire in 2008. The organization also welcomed the Liberian government’s decision to suspend unilateral mining along the Makona River but called for further action.
