However, the National Crime Agency (NCA) this week confirmedCahillane, 58, is subject to a travel restriction order (TRO) which bans him from travelling overseas until February 2027. Similar orders include Serious Crime Prevention Orders and Financial Reporting Orders. Coded text messages between the drug smugglers were found on a mobile phone seized by UK Border Agency investigators. Another Northern Ireland man, Richard McArthur, 57, of Barn Mills, Carrickfergus, Belfast, was sentenced to six years after admitting smuggling cannabis.
