Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria on Thursday, July 4, 2024 asked the Public Service Commission (PSC) to suspend new and ongoing recruitment in the public service for the next one year pending the establishment of tripartite committee to clear the most critical requests in line with the fiscal reality in the country. The tripartite committee will consist of representatives from the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management, the Ministry of National Treasury and Economic Planning and the Public Service Commission. Citing the PFM Act, 2012, he pointed out that Kenya’s public wage bill exceeds 35 per cent of the national budget. The committee will be charged with the mandate of evaluating the ongoing recruitment initiatives with an aim of ensuring compliance with reducing the public wage bill directive. “Any future hiring in the public sector must be justified by genuine operational needs,” added the CS’s statement.
Embattled rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs is facing another sexual assault case after a woman came forward with fresh accusations against him. Mr Combs, who is one of rap's most successful moguls, has consistently denied all allegations of sexual assault and physical abuse, including the latest ones. Earlier this year, he apologised after footage came to light that showed him attacking Ms Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. The statement went on to say that "Mr Combs is confident he will prevail against these and other baseless claims in court”. Mr Combs' team clarified that the settlement was not an admission of wrongdoing.

He said that, based on this requirement, MAHB's major shareholders Khazanah Nasional Bhd (Khazanah) and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) have offered their shares to potential investors. "This offer was extended to numerous investment companies by EPF and Khazanah. MAHB manages 39 airports in Malaysia, including five international airports, 17 domestic airports, 17 STOLports (short takeoff and landing airports) and Sabiha Gokçen Istanbul International Airport in Turkiye.
