Ministers of State attending Cabinet (or super junior ministers) are appointed by the Government on the nomination of the Taoiseach. The authorities point to cases when an order for legal costs should not be awarded against an unsuccessful litigant, and when an unsuccessful litigant should be awarded their legal costs.

The planned industrial action was expected to have a detrimental effect on waiting times. However, following an agreement reached with the Road Safety Authority (RSA) on Tuesday night, the industrial action has been called off. Driver testers who are members of Fórsa balloted for industrial action last December. Fórsa driver testers will be represented on a working group overseeing the process, alongside the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ireland and the Department of Transport.

Drone delivery firm Manna has announced a new pilot programme to take place in Cork City, in partnership with local businesses, to explore the demand for its services with an eye to a gradual rollout of its system. The company will begin demonstration flights at Marina Market starting on Thursday. Independent retailers at Marina Market and elsewhere including the likes of La Cantina, Frankie’s, and Burritos & Blues have all said they would participate in this initial exploration phase with Manna. Manna will also look to partner with community groups offering meal delivery services, to explore drone delivery of supplementary meal items. We start demo flights at Marina Market.
