‌Chillingly this assessment now means the US may have made a near-catastrophic miscalculation as Iran is opting for a bloody war of attrition, a near-forever war. US President Donald Trump, not known for his grasp of detail and geopolitics believes force, bribery and basic global bullying will get him his way. ‌View 4 Images War move: US President Donald Trump (Image: Anadolu via Getty Images)‌View 4 Images Israeli air-strikes leave devastation in Lebanon (Image: AFP via Getty Images)And this is why no president has dared to do what Donald Trump has done - because they knew all this and listened to their intelligence chiefs. ‌View 4 Images Beirut's south burns as Trump's war erupts (Image: AFP via Getty Images)“The US mission in Iran is to destroy Iran’s missiles, navy and deny Tehran nuclear weapons. In that debate, hurling’s rule book has been reduced to the role of interested observer. The rucks were heavily resourced – a phrase you often hear in the game that invented the practice – and the ball was slow to budge. In those situations, nobody is making a shoulder charge, hip to hip, which is the only physical tackle defined in the rule book. It is not accounted for in the rule book, even though it is one of the key sources of primary possession in the game now. In the history of the game, the ball has never spent more time in players’ hands.

Temperatures will peak on Thursday, with a high of 18C across the south east, Ms Chalk said. The sunshine will be focused across the south east of England, while the west of the UK could see outbreaks of rain in parts. Friday will be mostly dry with maximum temperatures of 14C, Ms Chalk added. Dorset and Warwickshire had their second wettest winter since comparable records began in 1836, while southern England experienced its fourth wettest. The rain persisted for much of February, although drier and sunnier conditions arrived towards the end of the month.

“What we’re trying to do in training is starting to come in, it’s just not there for the full 60 minutes. A lot of it is because we haven’t been on fields due to the weather in the winter, but that’ll take shape over the next three or four weeks. “We wouldn’t swap New York for anything, we enjoyed ourselves out there,” was his description of the upheaval. “Ten players that started today were U23 last year, we had only six that started last year’s All-Ireland final. Laura Freaney, Ava Crowe, Aoibhe Carr all made their league debut today,” he said.

Updating MPs on the unfolding crisis, the Prime Minister said: "President Trump has expressed his disagreement with our decision not to get involved in the initial strikes, but it is my duty to judge what is in Britain's national interest. But Donald Trump hit out at Mr Starmer for not immediately falling behind US-Israeli strikes on Iran. Over the past two years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has sustained a series of major blows that may prove fatal to its survival over time. Despite all of this, there is little to indicate the likelihood of regime change in Iran in the immediate term. But they are also reluctant to engage with other elements in the Iranian opposition, wary of further marginalisation in whatever Persian-dominated dispensation might follow from the fall of the Islamic Republic. In every case, the regime response was violent repression, leading to hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of deaths.
