In just under three months, 30-year-old Abhijeet Dipke - the founder and face of India's Gen Z "cockroach" protests - has acquired the kind of celebrity status normally reserved for a breakout actor or cricketer. Then, on 16 May, Dipke wrote a post on X that would change his life: "What if all cockroaches come together?" The ministry did not reply to the BBC's questions about the issue, but The Indian Express and other media reported government officials as saying the sites had been blocked because of 'national security concerns'. "I took the decision to come back to India when I was called a national security threat by my own government. "I decided I need to go back to my country to show I'm not a national security threat.

According to contemporary reports, James spoke to thearound the time his first child was born in October 2004.His words were simple, but the reason behind them was deeply personal.“That’s my main goal, to try and be a better father than the one I had,” James told the newspaper. MUMBAI: Sebi chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey on Thursday said that the newly introduced Closing Auction Session (CAS) will stay but the regulator is studying if the mechanism to arrive at derivatives settlement prices could be changed. For the rest of the stocks, the earlier mechanism of volume-weighted average price (V-WAP) is followed. On Thursday, Pandey also said that the rollout of CAS across several developed markets had faced teething troubles, including liquidity in the market. "This is where SupTech offers tremendous opportunity. The objective is not simply to automate supervision, but to use data, analytics and AI to identify patterns that may not be visible through traditional methods. At Sebi, we are moving in this direction, with the aim of making supervision increasingly predictive and capable of identifying emerging risks early," he said.

It is so dangerous now in Slovyansk and Kramatorsk that police say it is time for civilians to get out. These neighbouring cities are the biggest still under full Ukrainian control in the eastern Donbas region. "If you take Slovyansk, it used to be hit by glide bombs roughly once a week, but now it's almost every day." Slovyansk, Kramatorsk and Kostyantynivka, to the south, form part of what is known as Ukraine's "fortress belt" – a system of heavily reinforced defence lines in the east. However, Kostyantynivka only has a limited presence of Ukrainian troops left, reports say, while Russia claims to be in full control of it.

TV host Jimmy Kimmel says his interview with Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico will not air on television due to pressure from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). A White House spokesman denied the head of the FCC had threatened Kimmel regarding his interview with Talarico or any other candidate. In a statement to the BBC, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said: "Jimmy Kimmel is play-acting - as he often does - to create a false narrative about this administration's policies." "[FCC] Chairman [Brendan] Carr has not threatened him regarding interviewing James Talarico, or any other candidate," Ingle added. ABC, which broadcasts Jimmy Kimmel Live!, has been in a feud with the regulator and Carr, a Trump appointee, for months.

Trump has championed US government investment in AI companies, to "create almost a partnership with the American public". The US senator spoke to BBC Newsnight about his concerns about artificial intelligence overtaking humanity.

Ukrainian officials say five people were killed and 67 others were wounded when a Russian drone hit a shopping mall in Pavlohrad, a city in Dnipropetrovsk region. Shops and vehicles were hit in the daylight attack which took place "when the streets were full of people", Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi said. Two other shopping malls - in the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Sumy - were targeted by Russian air strikes earlier this week, according to Ukrainian media. A full-scale war has been raging between Russia and Ukraine since Russian President Vladimir Putin launched an invasion more than four and a half years ago. A new peacemaking effort by envoys sent by US President Donald Trump at the weekend appears to have yielded few concrete results, after talks in Moscow with Putin and in Kyiv with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
