Eight people have been arrested in an alleged terror conspiracy targeting Delhi. The arrests follow intelligence alerts over a possible blast near the Red Fort, with central agencies assisting the probe. Two more suspects were held earlier during follow-up operations linked to the same case. Several mobile phones and SIM cards were recovered from the accused during the search operation. The devices are being examined to trace the network and possible foreign connections.

NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old delivery executive was killed after his scooter was allegedly hit by a car from behind in west Delhi’s Tilak Nagar area on Saturday morning, police said. A car and an electric scooter were found at the spot. He was a resident of Raghubir Nagar in west Delhi. He worked for an instant online grocery delivery organisation and used an electric scooter, the officer further said. Preliminary inquiry and eyewitness accounts indicated that a car allegedly rammed the scooter from behind, he said.

Nagpur News. केन्द्रीय वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने फरवरी 2025 के बजट में महानगरपालिका के लिए निधि आवंटन का प्रावधान किया। बजट में नाग नदी पुर्नरुद्धार अभियान के लिए 295.62 करोड़ रुपए का प्रावधान हुआ है। इससे पहले 2024-25 के बजट में भी 500 करोड़ का प्रावधान हुआ था। हालांकि, दोनों ही प्रावधानों की राशि का आवंटन नहीं हुआ है। इसकी वजह यह है कि, प्रोजेक्ट को अब तक शुरू नहीं किया जा सका है। पूरे प्रोजेक्ट की वास्तविकता में काम शरू होने के बाद राशि आवंटित होगी। करीब 1927 करोड़ के प्रोजेक्ट में केन्द्र सरकार की 60 फीसदी की हिस्सेदारी में 1,115 करोड़ रुपए मिलना हैं। प्रोजेक्ट के लिए इस राशि को जापान सरकार से 1850 करोड़ रुपए कर्ज लेकर मनपा को अनुदान के रूप में उपलब्ध कराया जा रहा है, जबकि राज्य सरकार से 25 फीसदी की हिस्सेदारी में 507 करोड़ रुपए और मनपा को 15 फीसदी हिस्सेदारी में 305 करोड़ रुपए वहन करना हैं।मनपा के अधिकारियों का मानना है कि, इस साल के अंत तक पूरे प्रोजेक्ट के वास्वतिक रूप में आरंभ हो जाएंगे। प्रोजेक्ट आरंभ होने पर ही सरकार से निधि का आवंटन होगा। वहीं, दूसरी ओर प्रोजेक्ट के पांचवे पैकेज में काम को शुरू कर दिया गया है, जबकि दो पैकेज के लिए निविदा प्रक्रिया की जा रही है। नाग नदी प्रदूषण निर्मूलन प्रोजेक्ट के पांचवे पैकेज में वायु प्रदूषण नियंत्रण को पूरा करना है। इसके तहत पांचवे पैकेज में मोक्षधाम घाट में इलेक्ट्रिक शवदहन गृह तैयार करना है। ऐसे में शहर के पहले इलेक्ट्रिक शवदहन यूनिट के लिए जनवरी से काम शुरू कर दिया गया है। मोक्षधाम घाट पर इलेक्ट्रिक शवदहन सुविधा के लिए 1.21 करोड़ की निधि प्रस्तावित की गई है। पारंपरिक लकड़ी से शवदहन से होने वाले प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिए पर्यावरणपूरक विकल्प प्रदान करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है।मनपा के सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य अभियांत्रिकी विभाग ने नाग नदी प्रदूषण निवारण परियोजना के तीसरे और चौथे पैकेज के लिए टेंडर प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी गई है। इन दो पैकेज में करीब 400 करोड़ रुपए से सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट तैयार किया जाना है। शहर में नाग नदी में सीवेज रोकने के साथ ही सीवेज को ट्रिटमेंट कर नदी में दोबारा से प्रवाहित करने से गंदगीमुक्त होने की संभावना जताई जा रही है। करीब 1927 करोड़ की कुल राशि में से 400 करोड़ एसटीपी निर्माण और 600 करोड़ रुपए की निधि शहर के नार्थ और सेंट्रल जोन में सीवरेज नेटवर्क पर खर्च की जाएगी।
