Sam George says it’s not the duty of MPs to undertake road projects and that an MP can only lobby for such projects to take place in his/her constituency. Captain Smart was suspended on Thursday, May 6, 2021, for an alleged insubordination and maligning government officials. Meanwhile Captain Smart has narrated the events that led to his 30-day suspension. Captain Smart told Metro TV on Thursday, May 6, that the plot to oust him from Angel FM was hatched at the Labone Coffee Shop. Captain Smart said, he asked why and Oteng explained that he, Captain Smart, had stated in one of his morning shows that Akufo-Addo, Dr Bawumia, Alan Kyerematen and the IGP are fools.

This is according to Alhaji Mohammed Awal Ismail, Chairman of the Islamic Research Institute, Ghana, IFRIG; when he spoke during the institute’s recent conference held in Accra. In his address titled: ‘The Need for the Muslim Ummah to Champion Islamic Finance,’ the IFRIG Chairman said most African countries were alreading tapping into the Islamic Finance well for liquidity and Ghana needed to look that way as well. “Islamic Finance is essential for unlocking investment from the Middle East, but it also attracts investors from other parts of the world,” he stressed. Following the arrival of the buses, Kelliot Royal Motors dragged the Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) to court for failing to release the vehicles to them. Kelliot Royal Motors claimed that it had secured a loan facility in excess of $3million to procure the buses for onward sale to the NPP. “The Chief Executive Officer of Kelliot Royal Motors Limited and the entire company are hereby demanding from Mr. Freddie Blay to as a matter of urgency act accordingly to a letter from our lawyers or face tough actions from us. Our lawyers Akufo Addo, Prempeh and co have ordered Mr. Freddie Blay to return the 100 vehicles belonging to us or pay an amount of $5.2 million Dollars,” the statement read.

According to information gathered by GhanaWeb's Amos Ekow Coffie, the AMA decided to demolish the stores which were operating at the Rawlings Park, following several complaints made by drivers over the difficulty they face in finding a place to park their vehicles when they visit the central business to do business. Speaking to some of the traders, they stated that they were not given any prior notice before the demolishing was carried out. “We did not get any notice from the AMA. We went there to find out what was going on, only to be told they were blocking vehicles from having access to the parking lot so we should remove our containers,” some of the affected traders told GhanaWeb.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmaajo this week went back to parliament to reverse an 'unconstitutional' extension of his tenure by two years. What we are saying is that it should be an addition to Ghana's energy mix just us South Korea and other developed countries have done and are enjoying the benefits," he noted. He said, “The sun produces energy through fusion and the fundamental energy God created is from nuclear reaction, so I don't think anybody should be afraid of nuclear."
