A statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports said, "the Ministry and government commit to offering all necessary support, logistics that will make hosting the African Para Games in 2023 possible as we believe under your able leadership, would be able to ensure a smooth and successful games experience if implemented". The statement said, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has also endorsed the candidacy of Mr. Deen, President of the NPC-Ghana, in contesting the Presidency of the African Paralympic Committee (APC). According to the ministry, Mr. Deen holds the key to positively change the fortunes of African nations at the level at the international games, as the continent witnessed a decline at the last Paralympic Games in Japan.

The group is a special initiative that is being championed by some party supporters and is aimed at highlighting the achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration. Vice-Chairman of the group, Dr. Lawrence A. Buah speaking at the event touted the free Senior High School policy as the most remarkable achievement of the government. Speaking on behalf of the Chairman, Dr. D. Christopher, he appealed to party supporters to trumpet the achievements of the Nana Addo-led administration. He dismisses claims that the funds were available before the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government arrived in office in 2017. “So did it take four whole years (2014 – 2018) to secure additional funding for the project? Contractors on the airport project have announced recently during a visit by the president to the site that it will be completed in June 2022. Dr. Henry Kokofu, the Executive Director of the Agency, announced this at an event to outdoor a pilot project to collect hazardous and e-waste for safe management and disposal by experts. The project is a joint venture between the Environmental Protection Agency and Excellent Waste Management, which seeks to help clean up e-waste, create jobs and boost revenue. He mentioned that the idea was to acquire more trucks and dispatch them to Tema, Sunyani, Takoradi, Tamale, Koforidua to ensure that e-waste was properly disposed of. Samuel Asiamah, the General Manager of Excellent Waste Management, said the proper management of e-waste would help clean up the environment for the next generation.

The arrest came after an alleged coup plot to murder then President Kwame Nkrumah and other ministers was discovered. Known as the Preventive Detention Act, J.B. Danquah and alleged leaders of the strike movement were arrested on October 3, 1961 over their involvement in the plot to murder the president and sow discontent in the country. J.B. Danquah who was arrested along with others, was the 1960 presidential candidate of the United People Party. "If you have admitted here that you have yet to read the full report, why then are you making judgment calls on the report," Akomea asked Pratt. Pratt responded that his initial views on the issue were based on newspaper reports and that he had admitted so even before making his submissions. Akomea however pointed to parts of the submissions especially the claim that the District Police Commander was being scapegoated by the Committee as a definitive judgment call that would have required a full understanding of the report to appreciate or disagree with.
