The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has explained why their report on a petition linked to a key member of the National Cathedral of Ghana has stalled. Ablakwa petitioned CHRAJ in January 2023 in a complaint of corruption and abuse of office relative to some expenditure that the National Cathedral made. State prosecutors are currently cross-examining Mr. Jakpa in a case involving the Minority Leader of Parliament, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who is standing trial alongside him. During Thursday hearing on June 27, 2024, Mr. Tuah-Yeboah revealed that the prosecution aims to complete its cross-examination by next Tuesday. This marks the first time Attorney-General Godfred Dame is directly cross-examining the witness, following earlier speculation that he was avoiding confrontation with Richard Jakpa after a leaked conversation suggested potential witness tampering. Attorney-General Dame is now the third state prosecutor to interrogate Mr. Richard Jakpa, following Deputy AG Alfred Tuah-Yeboah and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Yvonne Atakorah Obuobisa.

Abraham Sambou, the student, was allegedly assaulted by Eric Agyemang, the senior housemaster of the school, who is popularly known as 'Power.' "This wrongful undocumented expulsion without recourse to due process poses a significant problem to the entire family since Master Sambou would have to commute daily from Kasoa in the Central Region to Labone, Accra. "Mr. Agyemang justified his actions by claiming Master Sambou lied about his father's availability when asked to provide his father's phone number. "When we visited the school to address the issue, Mr. Agyemang admitted to slapping Master Sambou.

The case, initiated in May 2023, alleged damages for breach of contract related to the rehabilitation of the Accra Sports Stadium. The ICC Tribunal, chaired by President Sadaff Habib, including members Shadrack Arhin and Justin Amenuvor, upheld the Attorney-General of Ghana’s argument that the arbitration was statute-barred. This agreement included the Accra Sports Stadium, El-Wak Stadium in Accra, and Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. Micheletti was the local sub-contractor for the Accra Sports Stadium, while Consar Limited was responsible for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
