At least two people have been killed and 10 more wounded after Ukrainian missile strikes hit a “civilian crossing” near the Antonivskyi Bridge in Kherson late Thursday, according to the southern region’s Russian-appointed chairman. The Russian-backed Kherson region administration said on its Telegram channel that Ukraine’s military “fired 12 HIMARS at the civilian crossing near the Antonivskyi Bridge, which also operates at night due to the large number of people wishing to travel to the left bank of the Dnipro River.”Ukraine’s military is yet to comment. Some context: The alleged missile strikes come as fighting escalates in the Russian-occupied part of Ukraine’s southern Kherson region, where the pro-Moscow authorities are trying to “relocate” up to 60,000 civilians. CAIRO – 21 October2022: An Egyptian construction worker in Kuwait, has died after falling from a scaffolding in a building under construction near al-Metlaa area. According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa. A Kuwaiti security source said that a report was received to the Ministry of Interior’s operations about a worker who fell from a scaffold on the second floor in a building under construction in al-Metlaa area. The deceased worker, who was at his mid-thirties was found out to be a holder of the Egyptian nationality, as the corpse was handed over to forensic evidence.

CAIRO – 20 October 2022: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli ordered extending ban on rice export to meet local market needs, affirming the importance of tightening control over crossing points. Madbouli met on Thursday with Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali El-Moselhi to follow up on the ministry’s efforts to provide rice in local markets. Prices of rice per kilogram have reached LE 10 in consumer complexes in light of the ministry’s efforts to secure rice to decrease its prices in local markets. Farmers have provided around 140,000 tons of rice so far since the beginning of the harvest season, which continues until December, Moselhi noted. Egypt also collected 4.2 million tons of local wheat from farmers during the past wheat supply season, which extended from April to August.
