CAIRO - 8 December 2022: Egypt aims to raise the volume of natural gas exports to $1 billion per month during 2023, according to the Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait. Maait elaborated during his speech on the sidelines of the "Euromoney Egypt 2022" conference, that the current gas exports amounts to $600 million per month. “Egypt aims to raise the total volume of exports to $100 billion,” he stated, explaining that the exports in 2022 amounted to $32 billion, compared to $25 billion during 2021. Maait pointed out that Egypt aims for more development investments, especially in green projects, including green hydrogen, by working hard to enable the local and foreign private sector to lead the locomotive of sustainable and job-rich economic growth, in order to provide one million job opportunities annually. CAIRO - 8 December 2022: Head of the Nursing Syndicate and member of the Senate Kawthar Mahmoud revealed that the Egyptian nursing staff consists of 300,000 nurses, including 220,000 members in the government sector in 5,000 health facilities nationwide. In comments to Hadith al-Kahyra talk show Mahmoud stated that the sector is witnessing a severe deficit in the nursing staff, adding that the syndicate is monitoring all the assaults against its members by some patients’ relatives. Mahmoud's comments followed an incident that went viral on social media the past week, where the relatives of a female patient attacked the nursing staff at the Quwisna Central Hospital in Menoufia.
