CHANDPUR, June 11, 2024 (BSS) - Three people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a sand-laden truck and a CNG-run auto rickshaw on the Chandpur-Cumilla regional highway in Gogra area under Hajiganj upazila of the district this afternoon. All deceased were passengers of the CNG-run auto rickshaw. The accident occurred in the area when a sand-laden truck rammed the CNG-run auto rickshaw coming from the opposite direction around 2:45pm, leaving Sobuj dead on the spot and four others critically injured, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hajiganj Police Station Abdur Rashid said. The injured were taken to Chandpur Sadar Hospital where two of them succumbed to their injuries, he added. Legal actions will be taken in this regard, said the OC.
