DHKA, Dec 20, 2025 (BSS)—On a day when two Bangladesh pace spearhead faced off in International League T20 (ILT20) in Dubai, Mustafizur Rahman prevailed to lead his side Dubai Capitals to victory, ruining the valiant effort of his compatriot and new ball partner Taskin Ahmed. Mustafizur’s 2-13 became more valuable in his Dubai’s 63-run victory over Sharjah Warriors, who saw Taskin battle lonely for them. Taskin grabbed 3-40 to be the pick of the bowler for Sharjah but despite his superb performance, Dubai posted a challenging 180-6. Taskin later also claimed the wicket of Dasun Shanaka to prevent Dubai from going past 200-run mark. Mustafizur ripped through top order in the first power play, making it impossible for Sharjah to take the chase off.

The TIB, local chapter of Berlin-based Transparency International — a global anti-corruption organisation, called the attacks as “organised” and “unprecedented”. After the news of Hadi’s death while undergoing treatment in Singapore spread, groups of people took to the streets in protest. “Free media, dissent, and freedom of speech have become direct victims of this,” the statement said. “…rather, they are glaring examples of the deliberate suppression of freedom of thought, dissent, and freedom of speech.
